29 Weeks!

29 Weeks

Same Dress 11 weeks ago... and I thought I had a baby belly back then- Ha!

 How Far Along:
29 weeks- only 11 weeks to go!

Baby Size:
Butternut squash- Baby is approximately 17 inches long and weighs approx 3lbs

Total weight gain/loss:
Up about 25lbs- I'm still walking a lot and eating pretty healthy (minus my nightly ice cream cones) so I'm not too concerned and I'm over it at this point.

Maternity Clothes:
Yes pretty much all maternity clothes these days- I did pull off a pre pregnancy dress this weekend and I cannot wait to be back in my old clothes!

Stretch Marks:
No and hoping it stays that way!

Sleep:
It hasn't actually been that bad this week, or I'm just used to it sucking. I've started to get up again  between 3am-5am to use the bathroom

Best Moment of the Week:
This is totally work related- but I had 2 settlements this week which is always so exciting for my clients and finally the moment where I can exhale that the deal worked out.

Miss Anything:
My pre-baby body!! I just want to wear my summer clothes.  I'm still dying for a summer beer- every time I see or hear a commerical my mouth starts to water.  I'm not even a huge beer drinker so I'm not sure why this keeps happening

Movement:
Yes his movements are more big movements and I'm pretty sure I saw a hand moving across my stomach last night- it was pretty crazy

Food Cravings:
This week all I want is ice cream, I'm not sure if that's a craving or just my own sweet tooth

Symptoms:
Indegestion and I've started to get a bit of a waddle if I've been on my feet all day.

Anything making your queasy or sick:
Not this week

Have you started to show yet:
Yes

Gender:
Boy!

Labor Signs:
No- can anyone describe Braxton hicks contractions? People keep asking me if I'm getting them but I don't think I have but I have no idea what they feel like

Belly Button- In or Out?:
In but getting shallow- not happy about this one. I'm def going to have an outtie by June and outties freak me out.

Wedding Rings- On or Off?:
On

Happy or Moody?:
Happy- I can't believe how fast this is all going!

Looking forward to:
Working on the nursery some more- hoping to have pics to share soon

Happy Hump Day!

  2. You look awesome! All I want is a summer beer, too! I think it's the changing weather and the fact that I know I can't have one!

  3. I'll be 29 weeks on Friday and I literally googled braxton hicks this past Monday... I concluded that I'm not experiencing them yet. Maybe you're not either!

  6. You look fantastic! Baby boy has been growing in the last 11 weeks! I never had Braxton Hicks contractions either and wondered the same thing! What do they feel like? What if I don't know I'm having them? People say that they feel just like regular contractions. If that's the case, you'd know if you're having them. I've heard contractions described a lot of ways but for me, it felt like really strong, really awful cramps.

  7. Wahoo! The next few weeks will fly by! With SS my Braxton Hicks were like a tightening of my stomach. They didn't hurt, but it was like a bit of pressure all across my stomach. She was a really active baby, so at first I thought she was just moving around a lot but I had them at a dr's appt and they said that it was Braxton Hicks. I really didn't notice it until then!! MIne increased a lot in the 3rd trimester (but that is ok. they are helping you dilate/efface etc.)

  8. Looking fabulous! I had a hard time figuring out BH too, I wasn't really sure until closer to the end!

  9. I had BH all the time but didn't know it until I had one at my doctor's office and asked about it and they told me that's what it was. I had them constantly my last month.

For me, I would get these little hard spots on my tummy where it felt like the baby was sticking his butt out (which is what I thought it was), you could even see the little bulge sticking out. It would be really hard in that one spot for a minute or two and then go away. It didn't ever hurt, just uncomfortable and annoying. So when I asked my doctor about it he said that was a BH. Towards the end they did get a bit more painful but not like REAL contraction painful. That's a whole 'nother ball game.

  12. You look AMAZING! Nothing has changed one bit except for baby boy getting bigger :). Such a sweet bump you have.

I never had a single contraction until my due date, the day I went into labor. So I can't tell you what a BH feels like. I do know that I walked 9 1/2 miles the day before my due date (I'm insane, yes I know. It wasn't all at once!) and that definitely onset labor. I woke up the next morning feeling my first contractions. I'm a believer that walking helps get the baby down and out...so as you get closer, and more anxious, to meeting your little guy you might try it too! :)

Keep giving Baby Boy all the ice cream he wants! Can't wait to see your nursery!

  13. Aww you look fantastic! I'm 25 weeks with my second (also a boy)! And this pregnancy is killing me. I think I was spoiled when I was pregnant with my daughter. I seriously had to sit up for most of the night last night because the heartburn was awful!
